View STL and 3MF files online

Check a 3D model before you print it. Open STL, 3MF, OBJ, PLY or GLB files and spin them around, see the exact size in millimetres, the volume and surface area, whether the mesh is closed, and roughly how much it would weigh. Models that were saved in inches or metres can be switched with one click. The file never leaves your device.

Private: your files never leave your device.

How to use STL viewer

  1. Step 1: Drop an STL, 3MF, OBJ, PLY or GLB file.

  2. Step 2: Drag to rotate, scroll to zoom, or use the Top and Front views.

  3. Step 3: Read the size, volume and triangle count — or save a picture of the model.

Frequently asked questions

Is my model uploaded?

No. It’s opened and drawn by your browser, so private or commercial designs stay on your device.

What does “watertight” mean?

Every edge of the mesh is shared by exactly two triangles, so it’s a closed solid with no holes. Slicers handle watertight models best; most repair small holes automatically.

Why is my model tiny or huge?

STL files have no units. Most are millimetres, but some are saved in inches or metres. Pick the right unit and the size updates.

How big a file can it open?

Up to 300 MB — millions of triangles work on a modern computer. Phones handle smaller models.
