Add music or audio to a video
Put a song behind a travel clip, replace wind noise with music, or add a voice-over. Choose whether the new audio replaces the video's sound or plays under it, set each volume, loop a short track to fill the video and fade it out at the end. The picture is copied without re-encoding when possible, so it's quick and loses no quality.

How to use Add audio to video
Step 1: Add a video.
Step 2: Choose the music or audio file, then Replace or Mix and the volumes.
Step 3: Press Add audio and download the MP4.
Getting the levels right
Background music should sit under a voice, not compete with it. In Mix mode the music starts at 35%; for a speaking video, 20–35% is usually right. For a travel clip with only wind and traffic noise, Replace is often better than mixing.
- Cut the part of the song you want first with Trim audio.
- If the music is too loud or quiet overall, adjust it with Change volume before adding it.
- To remove a video's sound completely without adding anything, use Mute video.
Frequently asked questions
What if the music is longer than the video?
It is cut at the end of the video. With Fade out on, the last two seconds fade smoothly instead of stopping abruptly.
What if the music is shorter?
With Repeat on, it loops until the video ends; otherwise the rest of the video is silent (Replace) or keeps only its own sound (Mix).
Can I use music from another video?
Yes. Choose a video file as the audio, and its sound is used.
Can I post the result with any song?
The tool doesn't check rights. Platforms such as YouTube and Instagram may mute or block videos with copyrighted music, so use music you're allowed to use.
Are my files uploaded?
