How much louder is +6 dB?
About twice the signal level — clearly louder. +10 dB sounds roughly twice as loud to the ear. Very large boosts can cause distortion.
What does “Normalise loudness” do?
It measures perceived loudness and adjusts it to −16 LUFS, the level most podcast and streaming platforms recommend.
Will video quality change?
No. The video stream is copied untouched; only the audio is re-encoded.
