Printable graph paper

Print exactly the paper you need instead of buying a pad. Choose square grid, dot grid, lined, isometric, hexagon or music staff paper, set the spacing in millimetres or inches, the line colour and weight, and download a PDF for A4, Letter, A3 or A5. The lines are vector, so they print crisp, and the spacing is exact when you print at 100%: 5 mm squares come out as 5 mm.

Private: your files never leave your device.

Exact size and light lines

The PDF is drawn in millimetres, so the squares are exact when the printer doesn't scale the page. Print the Printable ruler once to check your printer: if 10 cm comes out as 9.8 cm, the problem is the print settings, not the paper.

Light grey or blue lines guide your hand but almost disappear when you scan or photocopy your work. Choose black or Bold for photocopying, and Thin for paper you mainly write over.

Frequently asked questions

Which spacing should I use?

5 mm squares suit school maths and sketching, 1 mm (millimetre paper) suits technical drawing and graphs, ¼ inch is the common US size. Dot grid at 5 mm is popular for bullet journals; lined paper is usually 7–9 mm.

Why isn’t my grid exactly 5 mm on paper?

The printer scaled the page. In the print dialog choose “Actual size”, “100%” or “No scaling”, not “Fit to page”. Check with the Printable ruler if you need precision.

What is isometric paper for?

It has lines at 30°, 90° and 150°, so you can draw 3D objects, game maps and woodworking plans without measuring angles.

Can I print several pages?

Yes. Set the number of pages and the PDF will contain that many identical sheets.
