Drone photo info: GPS, altitude and gimbal
Drone photos hide a lot of useful data. Drop JPG or DNG photos to see their GPS location, height above take-off and above sea level, gimbal pitch, yaw and roll, drone heading and speed, and camera settings — including DJI’s own flight metadata. Plot many photos together and export their positions as GPX, KML or CSV.
Private: your files never leave your device.
How to use Drone photo info & GPS
Step 1: Drop one or more drone photos (JPG or DNG).
Step 2: Read each photo’s location, heights, gimbal angles and camera settings.
Step 3: Export all positions as GPX, KML or CSV, or open a location in a map.
Frequently asked questions
Which drones does it read?
Any camera’s standard EXIF and GPS data, plus DJI’s extra flight metadata (relative altitude, gimbal and flight angles, speed) from Mini, Air, Mavic, Phantom and Matrice drones.
Are my photos uploaded?
No. Only the metadata is read, in your browser. Positions are drawn without any online map; map links open only when you click them.
How do I remove the location before sharing?
Use the Remove EXIF tool — it strips GPS and camera data without changing image quality.
