Where do the exchange rates come from?
From the National Bank of Georgia’s official daily rates, loaded directly by your browser when you open the page. They are the rates used for accounting and tax in Georgia.
Will a bank or exchange office give me the same rate?
Usually not exactly. Banks and exchange offices add a margin, so their buy and sell rates differ slightly from the official rate.
How often are the rates updated?
The National Bank sets the official rate once per business day; it applies from the next day.
