Frequently asked questions
How much smaller will my images get?
Typical photos shrink by 40–80%. PNG screenshots and graphics often shrink by more than half thanks to colour optimisation. If an image is already well optimised, Toola keeps the original so it never gets bigger.
Will compression reduce quality?
At the default 80% quality the difference is very hard to see. Lower the slider for smaller files or raise it to keep more detail. You can also set a maximum width or height to shrink big photos further.
Are my images uploaded?
No. Compression happens in your browser in a background thread. Your images never leave your device.
Is there a limit on how many images I can compress?
No limit on file count. Add as many images as you want and download them together as a zip file.
